who: pseudonymous CS grad known as "roman"
what: a simple blog to get out ideas that I've been keeping in my head. anything from guides on technical issues to rants about modern life to unstructured short fiction ideas
where: here
when: ever
why: in cub scouts my favorite activity was whittling. though i wasn't too creative with it, turning a moss covered twig of pine into a smooth and sculpted stabbing implement is relaxing. exactly the kind of therapy i needed to calm my mind as an irregularly moody 8 year old. i'm still no Michelangelo, but i'll always enjoy the process of refining raw material into something human. refinement is important, it's the last process that happens to a thing before that thing becomes timeless. and while writing in school's never been a challenge, they don't teach you brevity, and i always went over the word limit. so here's where i'm gonna try to fix that.
